At 15, I found a Canon EOS in the attic which was packed away during my parents' divorce. My mother said it was hers. Pops claimed it was his. I took the camera for my own and found a way to speak to the world beyond the limits of my tongue.
Born and raised in the Adirondacks, I became an adult out west at UC Santa Cruz where I studied health justice, film photography, and dipped my feet into the dark arts of acting. I thought I wanted to be a midwife, but shortly after my mother died, the arts became the most clear path for me. While I was grieving, I discovered I’m a songwriter. Find my recordings here.
I make narrative films centering feminine protagonists. I am currently working to get my first feature off the ground as I finish my MFA in directing/screenwriting at Columbia.
I have lived in SF, LA, Joshua Tree, Bisbee, and Athens, Greece. I’m an amateur sailor and food critic. On the road is where I most feel at home.
